Our adventure began at 11:00 this morning, when Naaman dropped us off at the Portland airport. We stood in a rather long line for the baggage drop and another long line for security, but we survived the long lines and enjoyed a quick lunch at the Country Cat before heading to our gate. Our lunch was cut short when we realized what time it was, but we were glad to find that no one had started boarding the plane yet, and ran back to a snack shop to get a few things for the plane ride.
We’ve been on the plane for about six and a half hours now, and have two and a
half to go. The ride has been extremely quiet and peaceful so far, and I
managed to sleep for the first four hours of it! I love nighttime plane rides,
and being able to barely see the layers of clouds below us in the dark of the
night. It’s also fun trying to figure out what time it could possibly be when
you’re handed a cold turkey sandwich and you’ve lost all track of time. We
should be arriving in Amsterdam around 8:00am, or 11:00pm according to the time
at home. I’m so excited to see Amsterdam airport again, and I’m sure it’ll
bring back some memories from when we’ve stopped in Amsterdam on our flights to

We will have a bit of a layover in Amsterdam, and then will head on to Edinburgh!
